A thoughtful, design-led approach to wedding flowers, with sustainability, seasonality and care for the environment at its heart.
Where possible, I prioritise locally and seasonally grown flowers, working with Scottish growers and choosing varieties that naturally reflect the time of year. This means embracing what is in season rather than relying on a fixed list of flowers that may need to be imported from across the world.
Scotland doesn’t grow flowers all year round, so during the colder months or where a particular design requires it; I may also source responsibly from trusted suppliers. For me, sustainability is about finding a realistic balance: choosing local first where possible, reducing unnecessary waste and making considered sourcing decisions rather than claiming that every flower can always be grown locally.
I manage the full process, from sourcing and ordering through to collection, preparation and styling on site. Flowers can be incorporated throughout the day in bridal bouquets, bud vases, table arrangements, ceremony flowers and smaller floral details, all designed as part of the wider styling rather than as separate elements.
My approach is intentionally a little less rigid. Rather than forcing nature into an exact Pinterest palette, I work with colour, texture, movement and seasonality to create flowers that feel natural to the setting and the time of year.
Where possible, flowers and foliage are reused throughout the day, arrangements are designed with minimal waste in mind, and mechanics and materials are chosen more consciously.
The result is wedding flowers that feel considered, seasonal and full of character with a lighter footprint and a little more respect for where they came from.
